The Story Of. . .
Formed in early 2009-ish, the Darling Oranges began as a joke. One day, Julian Koth and Austin North (North) were outrageously bored in Julian's garage, so they decided to record some songs about their peers. The songs were simple and humorous (occasionally), with North on vocals and Julian doing everything else. After a few months of this, they decided to start playing live, and invited mutual "friend" Ben Jurek to play bass, and actual friend Austin Hodges to kinda just bang the drums. Real songs started to pop up out of thin air, and eventually, almost started to sound like music. During the time period that followed, the line-up of the band underwent more changes than you could shake a stick at, mainly due to members moving and hormonal imbalances. It was at this time when Julian wrote and recorded most of their self-titled first album, and started to suck everyone around him back into the band. They soon after become a pretty decent band, with an album released in the late summer of 2011. After a short disappearance of their lead guitarist, they recently reformed, and are currently playing wherever they can, while putting finishing touches on their second album, "Pseudosongs"...
